Shark 100, A Low Cost Multifunction Power Meter, with 100BaseT Ethernet

Shark200-S Advanced Sub-Meter; A Highly Accurate Measuring Meter with Advanced Profiling and IEEE 802.11 Communications

Utilizing EIG’s modern Shark series metering platform, the unit provides highly accurate 0.2% revenue-certified bidirectional energy measurement coupled with extensive interval data logging and patented IEEE 802.11 WIFI communication.

The unit incorporates 2 megabytes of logging capability for recording every aspect of power including voltage, current, frequency, Watts, VARs and PF, in addition to interval energy data. There are up to 3 historical logs available, as well as an alarm log and a system events log for logging attempted reads and tampering.

Electro Industries Introduces the EI-MSB10-400
Surge Protector for Your Critical Substation Instrumentation

Westbury, NY -Electro Industries, one of the most innovative power monitoring manufacturers, introduces the EI-MSB10-400 substation surge protector. This product is designed to protect sensitive substation instrumentation equipment from the damaging effects of lightning strikes and/or electrical switching surges such as breaker operations, reclosing events, etc. The unit protects critical instrumentation in both AC networks up to 320VAC (L-N / L-G), and DC networks up to 400 VDC. The EI-MSB10-400 protects substation equipment from dangerous spikes and transients by absorbing the event with a multi-stage transient suppression scheme, before critical equipment is reached.

The EI-MSB10-400 is ideally suited to protect relays, meters, panel alarms, telemetry or any other critical substation equipment. The unit provides an indication LED which provides indication that the surge suppressor MOVs are exhausted and that the unit needs replacing. Essential to significantly improve equipment reliability, this unit is disposable and very low cost and can be easily mounted on a wall or plate with self-adhesive tape and replaced as needed.

The EI-MSB10-400 is also:

  • Fully compliant with IEC 61643-1 and EN61643-11, Class 2 or Class 3 Test
  • Designed to show when unit needs replacement. The EI-MSB10-400 has an LED to provide a replacement alert:
    - When the LED is On, the EI-MSB10-400 is in normal operation and is providing surge protection
    - When the LED is Off, the EI-MSB10-400 needs to be replaced.
