Multiplexor - SM1-16 (Communication
Multiplexor and Telephone Line Switch) |
| |
 |
The
Substation multiplexor provides a low-cost,
dependable way to switch 16 or more serial
devices in a substation to a single telephone
line or to an Ethernet LAN connection. Using
this device, you will be able to access any
meter, relay or other IED in your station
from a remote location. The unit provides
either an Ethernet (10 Base T RJ45) or Modem
connection to the substation devices with
a switch command to choose the specific device
at the desired port. Using the SM1-16, you
can collect your data, quickly, easily and
reliably. |

Unicom
2500 (The Universal Communication Converter) |
| |
This rugged device reliably
solves a host of communication problems. It
converts two- or four-wire RS485 to RS232
(and back again), and an optional module converts
either of these formats into fiber optic,
Bidirectionally. The Unicom 2500 communicates
at a rate of up to 115 kilo baud, and it even
increases the throughput of two-wire RS485
mode. Its opto-isolation protects your valuable
equipment and buses from destructive spikes
and surges of up to 2500 volts. The Unicom
also has a DTE/DCE switch that eliminates
the need for a nullmodem. A nifty little
feature that cant be fully appreciated
until its needed. |

This
intelligent modem buffer is the ultimate,
affordable way to communicate with remote
devices. It has all the capabilities of our
Unicom 2500 (without the fiber-optic option),
and then some. With Modem Manager 1, youll
never again program a modem or worry about
poor phone lines. Its buffer is 32 times the
size of the most advanced single-line modems.
It handles bidirectional RS485-to-RS232 conversion
and it can even be reprogrammed in person
or over the phone. Modem Manager 1 is simply
the most useful communication accessory ever.
